St. Anne’s, Dedicated

On a Sunday, November 5th, in 1846, Father McLaughlin at 10 am, the First Church of St. Anne, of Roman Catholic denomination, was dedicated.  It was said that it was not a pleasant day, owing to the inclement weather.  The Bishop of New York, Reverend John Hughes delivered the sermon during the mass officiated by Reverend Francis Gartland.
